January 20, 2015 Board Meeting Agenda Item #26 Title APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #15-0310 FOR ASPHALT PAVING SERVICES Description Bids to provide 'Asphalt Paving Services' were received from three vendors on December 10, 2014.  The bid of Gator Grading and Paving, LLC, was the best low bid meeting the advertised specifications based on a sealed scenario.  The bid of Advanced Asphalt of Southwest Florida, Inc., was non-responsive to the requirement of providing a lime rock base.  This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods.  Funds for these purchases are contained in the transfer from capital budget allocated to the Facilities Services Department. Recommendation That the bid of Gator Grading and Paving, LLC, to provide 'Asphalt Paving Services' in an amount not to exceed $300,000.00, be approved as presented.
